One Hand Waving Free

One Hand Waving Free

Using real events, “One Hand Waving Free” is a coming-of-age story of 24-year-old protagonist Marcus. Based on the author's experiences, it tells the story of being on the road with Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and the famous Rolling Thunder Revue tour in fall, 1975.  A second tour in spring, 1976 by Arlo Guthrie benefitting Senator Fred Harris (D, OK) campaign for President reveals the story of Marcus’ underlying personal grief.  An only child of dead parents, Marcus struggles with guilt of a past relationship while fending off advances from employers on a wild coast-to-coast benefit tour.
